Staff member receives early learning champions award

I am excited to announce that Talia Shide, staff member and child and family therapist with our Vancouver Family Resource Center has won the Educational Opportunities for Children and Families (EOCF) 2017 Early Learning New Professional award.

Talia was honored at the sixth annual Early Learning Champions Awards Luncheon on May 10 in Vancouver for excellence in early childhood education. Attendees and award recipients were volunteers, educators and nonprofit staff.

Talia has been an outstanding example of leadership in the early learning community. Her contributions include providing mental health consultation for various early learning programs throughout Southwest Washington, and being a champion for infant-toddler mental health.  Talia is certified in child-parent psychotherapy and an expert in empowering families with young children to overcome adversity.

We congratulate Talia on her honor!
