Our history began in 1896 as a premier adoption provider in Washington state. Over the years, our services have expanded, but our goal remains the same—create permanent, loving homes for children.
To help us with this work, our organization participates in the annual GiveBIG campaign, which takes place this year on May 10. GiveBIG is a unique, one-day, online charitable giving event encouraging supporters to give.

Right now, our state faces a significant foster care crisis. Donations received from GiveBIG will support Children’s Home Society of Washington’s efforts to reduce the number of children in the state’s foster care system. Our Adoption & Secure Families signature service specifically supports the needs of children who need permanent, loving homes.
Providing services to families before problems start to occur is crucial. If a child enters the public child welfare system, we work quickly to reunite families or find the child a new permanent loving home.
