Foster children in Chelan and Douglas counties need your help. Children’s Home Society of Washington is actively recruiting foster parents from Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan and Grant counties to provide full-time foster care and respite care for children who are unable to remain with their birth families.
Children who need foster care can no longer stay in the home. A foster family can provide stability and a safe environment when they desperately need it.
There are too many children in our community who are waiting for a foster parent to welcome them into their home. Sadly, there are not enough foster homes available. Sometimes siblings need to be separated and placed miles apart in a different county.
Children’s Home Society of Washington provides highly trained staff to help foster parents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Children’s Home Society of Washington also offers licensing assistance, ongoing training, respite care and monthly financial support. Local children are in need of loving, caring adults who are over the age of 21.
Consider being a part of a foster child’s life. There are many ways to help. Call (509) 663-0034 or go to our Chelan and Douglas counties information request form to complete an inquiry.
Feel free to share this information via social media or email with family and friends who may be interested in becoming a foster parent in our area. Thank you for helping to spread the word!
