Annual Walla Walla luncheon benefits children

I’m excited to announce our 18th annual SweetHearts for Kids luncheon has been scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center, 6 W. Rose St. in Walla Walla.

Our team is passionate about hosting this event every year because it gives the Walla Walla community a chance to take a moment, get to know each other and learn about the difference CHSW is making with the families and children we serve locally.

We are honored to have Alise Morrissey (Hegle), Bachelor of Applied Science, as our keynote speaker this year. Alise brings her own unique perspective on the foster care system as a birth parent who regained custody of her daughter. She now works to ensure the child welfare birth parent perspective is incorporated in policy, practice and system reform efforts as the advocacy project manager and policy lead for Children’s Home Society of Washington. She has represented birth parent voice at state and national convenings and was awarded the Unsung Hero Parent Recognition Award from the state Department of Children, Youth and Families. You can learn more about Alise here.

Online registration is now closed.
