Golf Classic Raises $60,000 for WA kids!

On Monday, May 9, Children’s Home Society of Washington hosted the inaugural Golf Classic “Fore” Kids at Bear Creek Country Club in Woodinville. The scramble-style golf tournament included a round of golf, cocktail hour, gourmet barbeque banquet, place prizes, and more. Over $60,000 was raised to support the children and families served by Children’s Home Society across the state.

“We are thrilled at the outpouring of support from our sponsors and golfers,’” stated Sharon Osborne, President/CEO of Children’s Home Society of Washington. “The funds raised today will go directly towards making sure children and families in Washington receive the support they need to have healthy and bright futures.”

The day included a included a hole-in-one contest, sponsored by Harris Ford (though sadly, nobody was able to take away the prize — a new car). Longest drive and putting contests were also included, and golfers were greeted out on the course by Children’s Home Society of Washington President/CEO, Sharon Osborne, and Jim Laugen, VP of Resource Development, handing out KIND bars and water.

“It was a great day out on the course,” stated Brett Allen, Event Chair. “The opportunity to witness the level of community support for an organization that is near and dear to my heart was simply wonderful.”

Kibble & Prentice served as the statewide Corporate Champion for Children. Other sponsors included ECG Management Consultants, Columbia Bank, IKON Office Solutions, Dick and Mary Allen, Sharon Osborne and Sam Granato, Ash Consulting, and KIND Healthy Snacks.
